VAR cards come from Cold War era! This set of 54 visual aircraft recognition cards - issued by the U.S. Army in the mid-1970s to train ground and air forces to distinguish friend from foe - features front, side and back views of American, allied and Soviet airplanes and helicopters, accompanied by identifiable features and technical specifications for each aircraft. Though the cards are 30-year-old artifacts, all are in excellent condition. 2½"x 3½".
